Guidance for Universities

For admissions, finance, immigration, compliance and doctoral-school offices reviewing an AIMS award.

How to read the award

  1. Verify the award reference.
  2. Check whether the status is conditional or active.
  3. Confirm the approved university and degree.
  4. Check the joining or enrolment trigger.
  5. Review each funding component and exclusion.
  6. Note caps, reimbursement evidence, payment recipient, and currency.
  7. Check annual renewal and academic-progress requirements.
  8. Review spouse, dependent, insurance, travel, and research provisions.
  9. Check teaching, academic-contribution, or post-study service obligations.
  10. Verify amendments separately.

Verification statement

A logo, signature image, stamp, forwarded PDF, or email display name is not sufficient proof on its own. Confirm the award reference through the AIMS website or contact the Verification Desk using an official institutional email account.

Two verification routes

Online lookup

Confirms whether a reference is recognised and shows the general status and coverage categories. No amounts or personal details.

Institutional request

Written confirmation for admission, finance, immigration or compliance review, after AIMS confirms your role and disclosure basis.
